RISMEDIA, August 12, 2008-The recent launch of the newly enhanced REALTOR.com is great news for the millions of home buyers that rely on the site, and even better news for Realtors® who use the site. According to the company, with nearly six million consumers visiting the site every month-and spending four times as long browsing as they spend on any other real estate website-REALTOR.com has been one of the most essential selling tools for Realtors and continues to be the #1 real estate site on the Web, according to the company. Now, with new features and new technology, Realtor.com is even more powerful, and promises to be more popular than ever. The new site, says the company, is attractive, appealing, easy to use-with fresher listings that any other site. Nearly half of the listings now update every 15 minutes with the remainder updating at least daily. All of this translates into more buyers accessing listings.

Listings That Pop

The site’s free basic property listings on Realtor.com now include up to four larger photos, plus information on local schools and a link to a more detailed neighborhood report. The company says that agents will find that listings now have greater visibility; they’re easier to find, and easier to browse. Additionally, the site’s previous multi-page listings with tabbed information has been replaced with a single page layout that is easier for consumers to follow.

By upgrading to premium Showcase enhancements, listings can have even more impact. These enhancements include a photo gallery with up to 25 pictures, virtual tours and video tours, open house alerts, and even photos cross promoting your other listings.

On listings, the agent’s name is more prominently featured than before with agent and office information displayed in a new integrated business card format. Specific “Calls to Action” which now open up in layers encourage even more interactions. These include “e-mail agent,” “request a showing,” “e-mail the office,” and “send to a friend.”

With the new Realtor.com, Featured Homes positions have greater visibility. Featured Homes will continue to display in their subscribed ZIP code markets, but now they appear at the top and bottom of every search results page, whether you’re looking at the classic list view, and map view or the new photo gallery view.

All this cutting-edge technology is easy to use, says the company. Property photos will automatically download from local MLS systems, and adding or changing photos and videos is simple.
