50 Days of Leaders – Working Toward Leadership

RISMEDIA, August 18, 2008-After 24 years in the United States Army, today’s featured Realtor on the Rise has entered the real estate industry-going above and beyond general requirements for the profession. In addition to her career as a Realtor in South Carolina, Lisa Davey is on her way toward a doctorate degree in public policy leadership and management. Here, learn what Davey plans to do upon completing this admirable task.

A second career: Davey recently retired after 24 years in the U.S. Army.
Higher ed: In addition to taking on a new career, Davey is also going to school for her doctorate in public policy leadership and management.

Davey plans to integrate her upcoming degree into her real estate career and hopes to eventually serve in a real estate brokerage leadership role. She has completed several papers related to real estate in South Carolina. She is currently considering “Consumer Protection in Real Estate Transactions” as her dissertation topic and anticipates obtaining her PhD in late 2009.
