RISMEDIA, Sept. 2, 2008-Four top producers who combine superior customer service and real estate expertise with cutting edge technology have been named to the 2008 HouseHunt Hall of Fame, according to an announcement by Michael Bearden, president and CEO of HouseHunt, Inc. A total of 35 member-agents have been named to this elite group since the firm’s inception in 1995.
According to the company, the four new members are: Randy Aguilar of CENTURY 21 Beachside in Huntington Beach, CA; Rosanne Nelson of Touchstone Realty Group, Fairfield County, CT; Shane Powell of Crye-Leike Realtors, Franklin, TN; and Larry Krogh of General Pacific Properties, Ventura, CA.
To qualify for Hall of Fame consideration, each member-agent had to close a minimum of $500,000 in cumulative commissions and/or a minimum 100 transaction sides in HouseHunt-related business over a five-year period.
HouseHunt is a consumer-oriented Internet firm that provides valuable free services and information to homeowners, home buyers and home sellers through nearly 2,000 member-agents serving exclusive territories in 47 states and its primary website, HouseHunt.com. HouseHunt member-agents are affiliated with virtually all major real estate franchise organizations, major independents and top regional and local firms.
“Their achievements are particularly noteworthy given the difficulties in the U.S. housing market since 2005,” Bearden said. “Their perseverance and dedication to the needs of their customers make them role models to their colleagues and competitors. They have successfully utilized the HouseHunt system and its consumer-oriented programs to respond quickly and meaningfully to their clients and prospects.”
“I congratulate each new member of the Hall of Fame and celebrate his or her success,” Bearden concluded.
Aguilar is the exclusive HouseHunt member-agent for Fountain Valley and more recently Costa Mesa in Southern California: “I pride myself on my work ethic and constantly try to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technology and other effective ways to provide information and services to my clients. In addition to e-mails, I set aside one and a half hours a day Monday through Friday personally contacting clients by phone. I spend another hour and a half a day on weekdays knocking on doors, talking face to face with homeowners and renters. When a client or prospect contacts me, I try to get back to them within an hour.”
Nelson is the exclusive HouseHunt member-agent for a dozen communities in Fairfield County, CT, including Stamford, Weston, Greenwich, Westport, New Canaan and Norwalk. Like Aguilar, she says she tries to communicate quickly as possible to clients and prospects who contact her. “I treat my clients as I would hope to be treated. I always try to put their needs first.” Nelson is also optimistic that local housing market conditions will improve by the end of the year: “Local activity has picked up in the past month. I really think people are getting ready to buy.”
Powell is the exclusive HouseHunt member-agent for six communities in the Nashville metro area, including Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill and Smyrna. His specialty is working with buyers: “Typically, my team receives 200 to 300 leads a month from HouseHunt and we try to call each one of them back within 48 hours.” Powell said higher priced listings are taking longer to sell but that lower priced homes are selling pretty fast. Average home price in Franklin, for example, is $350,000 and is selling for 95-100% of its listing price.
Krogh, who has a varied background in real estate sales, lending, property management and development, is the exclusive HouseHunt member-agent for the communities of Santa Barbara and Ventura in Southern California. “My dad was a general contractor so I’ve always been in and around real estate, starting as a teenager,” Krogh said. “We’re always accessible to our clients and have someone in our office until 8 p.m. almost every day. Sometimes, we will have a team of four or five people working on a single transaction, with me overseeing it. We work with lots of investors and the purchase of investment properties. Right now we’re looking to expand our business.”
