RISMEDIA, Sept. 11, 2008-Public officials and retail real estate professionals will hold panel discussions on how to overcome the current obstacles in a weakened economy at the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC) 2008 Connecticut Alliance Program, taking place on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hartford Marriot Downtown in Hartford, Conn.
The luncheon keynote presentation will be given by David Wood, director of The Institute for Responsible Investment. This presentation will look at how to reduce the negative environmental impacts of real estate development while maintaining economic growth.
The program will also feature two general sessions:
- Dealing with the Credit Crisis and Economic Recovery Strategies – How to overcome the lack of development funds across all sectors of the industry.
- Building New Retail, Overcoming Permitting Obstacles and Uncertainty – Focusing on the challenge that building new shopping centers creates for developers.
Registration fees for the ICSC 2008 Connecticut Alliance Program are $150 in advance and $180 on-site for members; for nonmembers the fees are $175 and $205, respectively. To qualify for the advanced registration fee, you must register by noon on October 30, 2008.
