RISMEDIA, Sept. 18, 2008-While some professionals settle for “safe” career decisions, others, like Christine McNaught, take the path less traveled, finding unexpected results. Meet today’s featured Realtor on the Rise and learn how she found herself as a success story in real estate.
Christine McNaught
Windermere Prestige Properties
Henderson, Nevada
In real estate since: 1994
Giving back: McNaught volunteers as a camp counselor at a retreat for children with cancer.
McNaught took the path less traveled to real estate, as she tells it. “Growing up in a Filipino family, you’re destined to be a doctor, a lawyer, a nurse or some other professional,” she says. “I am a native Las Vegan and graduated from UNLV. I was accepted to law school in the East. I was fully prepared to go when my husband, Patrick, asked me to join him when he took a job in Scottsdale, Arizona.” This “fork in the road,” as she calls it, eventually derailed her law career and put her on the road to real estate success.
