Realty Executives Holds Bi-Annual Regional Developer Symposium

RISMEDIA, Sept. 18, 2008-Nearly 50 Realty Executives Regional Developers gathered recently for a bi-annual symposium meeting at the company’s international headquarters in Phoenix. The three day meetings focused on the sharing of best practices among top performing Regional Developers with emphasis on the key skills and activities to drive success in today’s market.

This symposium forum was the fifth in a series to be held during the last two and a half years by Realty Executives International and was attended by 95% of the company’s North American Regional Developers including attendees from Realty Executives regions in United States, Canada and Mexico. Representatives from Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Belize also attended.

“Over the last few years we’ve experienced a major evolution at Realty Executives and today we’re more focused than ever on bringing our regional developers, broker/owners and sales associates together to share ideas and learn from each other,” said Glenn Melton, chief operating officer. “By doing this, we’re able to create an environment where success is not something that is achieved on your own as an individual, but rather as a result of the support of a group of committed entrepreneurs.”

Throughout the three day event, which was hosted at The Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa, a variety of topics were covered including marketing and branding, recruiting agents, franchise sales, training and development as well as support and infrastructure. Each topic was introduced by a Regional Developer who was given the opportunity to tell his/her “story” about how he/she has come to be successful in the given area. Then, the group collaborated in a discussion of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats regarding each topic.

“I’ve been attending conferences and forums throughout my career in real estate but this was one of the most effective meetings I’ve ever been to,” said Joseph LaManna, regional developer for Realty Executives Midwest. “The open-minded attitude of every person in attendance resulted in dozens of ideas and a lot of great advice from my colleagues, much of which I have already started implementing in my own region.”

In an effort to focus the value and relevance of its support offerings, Realty Executives International launched an initiative more than three years ago to become more inclusive with its highest customer audience, its Regional Developers. And, in that time Realty Executives International has developed strategy sessions and interactive communication platforms for regional developers to share thoughts and ideas on how the company can continue to grow and provide the highest levels of service throughout the organization. This symposium meeting is just one example of that communication, value and high-touch relationship.
