MRIS, Oct. 20,2008-MRIS makes available to all members three free ways to increase your productivity through its training programs. There are self-paced training tools, hands-on training at all board locations, and virtual training classes that you can take at home.

Self-Paced Training

1. Manuals - From the Training link on the MRIS website you can access the three manuals: Active Agent, Keystone, and Matrix. These are comprehensive manuals designed to guide you through the processes and most efficient methods of utilizing each of these programs. You can read them online, print the entire manual or just print the portions you need.

2. Online Training Library - From the Training link on the MRIS website you can access the Online Training Library. These tutorials are available for both Matrix and Keystone. Each product’s library contains a series of self-paced hands-on tutorials on a variety of topics. The tutorials are available for both broadband connections (DSL, Cable) and dial-up connections. The broadband tutorials will walk you through each lesson with voice commands and the dial-up lessons guides you through text boxes. Each tutorial guides through a process where you will actually perform the necessary steps required for that subject. It is a great way to learn or reinforce your knowledge in a particular area.

Hands-On Training

From the Training link on the MRIS website (Enroll in a Class) you can sign up for free hands-on training at our member boards for Matrix and Keystone, In these classes you will sit at a computer and learn how to use the programs. These classes may be taken as many times as you wish and also include a step-by-step guide to take with you.

Virtual Training

Virtual Training enables MRIS to conduct a training session with a live instructor over the Internet. A participant would be able to follow along with the Instructor’s presentation and ask questions. The presentation is viewed through the student’s PC and heard over a telephone line. These sessions are open to all MRIS customers, however, “Virtual Classroom” is suited for a person who is very comfortable using a PC and working on the Internet.

You should also be able to learn by viewing a presentation and asking questions. This is not a “hands-on” presentation. If you need help in signing up for this class, that is a sign that this type of training may not be for you. You will need a PC that has Internet access and simultaneous access to a phone line. Be aware you will be on the phone during the entire class. Cell phones can be used but are not recommended due to the fact you are inside a building and may get disconnected or have static.

A speakerphone or headset in a quiet place is highly recommended. You will need to disable any pop up blocking software to access the class. If you can not disable the software, you will not be able to access the class. Contact your software manufacturer or refer to your software manual for instructions. To enroll click on Virtual Class List and select your session. The sessions will last 90 minutes to 2 hours. Matrix Part 1 and Part 2 are equivalent to our normal Matrix “hands-on” class and will cover the same material.

Three ways to help you take advantage of all that MRIS has to offer you. Try one or try them all, they are always free!
