Submitting Photos to MRIS

MRIS, Nov. 24, 2008-Photos and images are a great marketing tool. Article XI, Sec. 20 of the MRIS Rules and Regulations describes what is appropriate and permissible. The following information should help you follow the MRIS Rules and Regulations:

Images submitted to MRIS must depict real property, artist’s representation, sketches, floor plan or plats of the property. The images should represent a true picture of the property.

The lead photo does not have to be the front exterior of the building, however if it is not the lead photo, the main exterior of the building or entrance of the lot must be included in the photo album. Photos may not contain any advertising, including signage, agent web sites or agent pictures.

Verify that you have the permission of the image owner prior to submitting the image to MRIS. Any image submitted to MRIS becomes the exclusive property of MRIS.

The pictures should be professional and appropriate. MRIS reserves the right to remove any image that is deems inappropriate or unprofessional.

You may use any image that you have submitted to MRIS for your own business purposes including posting the image on your own web site, your broker’s website or in your marketing materials.
