RISMEDIA, April 24, 2008-The Board of Directors of the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) has developed a Business Partners category of membership for those companies and individuals that provide support services to Multiple Listing Services. All current Corporate Members will be converted to the new Business Partners category.
Monica Beck, chief operations officer for the Northwest Multiple Listing Service in Kirkland, Wash., and CMLS president, said, “This new category better describes the relationship between the MLS and the companies that provide them with support services including software vendors, attorneys, Internet services providers, imaging companies, listing services, etc.
For current and prospective Business Partners, CMLS provides a vehicle to stay informed about issues affecting the MLS industry, offers a networking environment for the exchange of information and extends a forum for improving the processes and efficiencies for the industry.
The Council of Multiple Listing Services facilitates practical information and cutting edge management ideas to empower members and their constituents to meet the challenges of changing technology, legal issues and organizational structure.
