RISMEDIA, March 24, 2009-RE/MAX CENTRAL, of Las Vegas, NV, appeared on TLC’s “Deals on the Bus,” a new show featuring real estate agents who have successfully taken their business on the road. Nick Nolf, a top-producing Associate for RE/MAX CENTRAL and his foreclosure bus tour was the highlight of Saturday’s show.

John and Ruth Ahlbrand, co-owners of RE/MAX CENTRAL and creators of the foreclosure bus tour, have been nationally recognized for their efforts in addressing the Las Vegas foreclosure market.

“People thought John and I were crazy to take a 40-seat bus, wrap it with the RE/MAX logo, and drive perspective buyers around the city to look at foreclosed homes,” said Ruth Ahlbrand. “The tours have been such a success that we now offer three per week, visiting a wide range of low to high-priced foreclosures.”

The RE/MAX CENTRAL foreclosure bus tour has been featured in USA Today, Business Week, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and has also been the subject of numerous international news stories in Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Austria, Sweden and Germany.

With the foreclosure market growing at a rapid pace, it’s critical that buyers visit these properties in person, in order to start moving them off the market.

“Some sources predict that one third of the homes sold in 2009 will be foreclosed or short sales properties,” said Chip Brekken, vice president for the RE/MAX Southwest Region. “With such a huge segment of the market tied up in foreclosure, it’s imperative that real estate agents, such as Ruth and John Ahlbrand, tap into the foreclosure market in order to ensure business success this year.”
