RISMEDIA, March 26, 2009-Anna Emerick-Biad, president of Emerick Real Estate Inc. and John L. Hummer, president of Steinborn GMAC Real Estate announced that their two companies have merged and will now have approximately 40% market share of active listings in greater Las Cruces.
According to the company, the combined company will have 125 agents operating in 2 main offices, and last year combined for more than $200 million in home sales.
Additionally, company executives announced they have already recruited two of the area’s most well-respected agents: Connie Hettinga and Zane Fikany from Coldwell Banker DeWetter Hovious.
“This is an incredible time for us to combine our resources, increase the size of the company while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our buyers and sellers, said Hummer. “When you factor in the addition of Connie and Zane joining our firm, we are extremely excited about this company and serving home buyers and sellers in Southern New Mexico,” he added. “We fully expect to ramp up our recruiting efforts and are already in discussions with other agents who see the potential in joining the area’s leading residential real estate firm.”
