RISMedia, May 23 2011—The Junior/Senior Golf Classic, sponsored by Realty Executives of Kansas City, is in its seventh year and continues to raise thousands of dollars for Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City.
The tournament is at noon Monday, June 13 at Lake Quivira Country Club and is open to the public.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Habitat for Humanity. This golf tournament—as well as other company sponsored fundraisers throughout the year—will pay for the construction of a seventh Realty Executives-sponsored Habitat for Humanity home in Kansas City to begin construction in the fall of 2011. The fee for a four-person team is $125 per person. The tournament is a four-person scramble and will be played as a “best ball” for participating team.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a partner of Realty Executives of Kansas City, has been instrumental in raising funds for the Habitat for Humanity homes throughout the years as have other company partners, local real estate agents and clients.
New this year is an opportunity to bid on a chance to play golf with nationally-recognized real estate expert and speaker, Rick DeLuca. The three highest bidders will play on DeLuca’s foursome and the money benefits Habitat for Humanity.
Steve and Nancy Summers, longtime brokers and owners of Realty Executives of Kansas City, organized the fundraiser in memory of their son, Stephen R. Summers (Jr.), and Steve’s father, Stephen A. Summers (Sr). Both beloved family members died in 2004 and the tournament was created in their honor.
The Summers wanted to honor the life and careers of their son and father. They choose to build dream homes for needy local families by partnering with Kansas City Habitat for Humanity because finding homes for families was important to both men.
