The sad news of Whitney Houston’s death this past Saturday sent shockwaves through the recording industry as well as her worldwide fan base, who adored the singer for her many gifts in acting, modeling and of course her unforgettable and unmatched vocal talents.

In tributes to the late recording artist, the media at large has covered Houston’s most recognized moments of her life, the gospel singing that led to her fame, her early years modeling, the hits and movies of the ‘90s, her inspiring performance of the Star Spangled Banner. But perhaps some of the little known facts about the late recording artist, actress and model surround the details of a unique home she owned in Mendham, N.J.

While Houston owned many properties, from Jersey to Georgia, what made this property so unique was its shape.

The round property sits on 5 acres of land, spanning 12,561 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The interior showcases domed skylights, soaring ceilings and light, airy rooms featuring glass walls.

The home was often glimpsed during Houston’s 2005 Bravo T.V show, Being Bobby Brown. Built in 1992, the home has feminine peach colored floor tiles, kitchen and bathroom details. The surrounding property has a number of patios and terraces, as well as a swimming pool, pool house, tennis court and 4-car garage.

In 2009, Houston put this special property on the market for $2,500,000, and it is still for sale today. Perhaps with the star’s recent death, the property will find the right buyer.
