Barony of Tulloch (of the Castle of Tulloch) for sale. Offers over £150,000 / $240,000 to include land and possible permission to build a baronial house or castle.
British Noble Titles can very occasionally be bought for British pounds and American dollars. People who might feel a sense of nobility but lack a title will be keen to hear of the opportunity to gain a fascinating and particularly rare historic title, the Barony of Tulloch. “His Lairdship, the Baron of Tulloch” or, simply “The Laird of Tulloch” – based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands near Loch Ness and presently owned by an English Peer of the Realm – has now come up for sale.
The title and associated land are being offered exclusively by Noble Titles , a British company that sells lordships and baronies with a rich European heritage.
Located 20 minutes north of monster-famed Loch Ness and deep in the Highlands of Scotland, the land of the Barony of Tulloch hails back many hundreds of years to the clan of the Bains, who first built Tulloch Castle in 1466, before passing to the Davidsons clan through marriage in 1760. The Davidsons continued as Barons of Tulloch, living on Tulloch land, until the 20th century. The Barony is an ancient one held by rights from the Crown.
Tulloch and the Davidson family are linked to some of the most powerful and infamous clans in Scotland. For example, the history can be traced back to Comyn family, destroyed by Robert the Bruce, the Mackintoshes and the Clan Dhai (as the Davidsons were known, going back in time).
In the 1300s, the Davidsons were involved in constant clan warfare caused by jealousies and dangerous associations. During 1370, the clan suffered badly in battle with the Camerons. In 1396, the Davidsons and MacPhersons fought side-by-side at the clan battle on the North Inch of Perth. When the combat was over, only 11 enemies were alive and only one Davidson!
Today, Noble Titles is offering the historic Scottish Barony of Tulloch for sale, with offers invited at over GBP £150,000+ (approx USD $240,000+) plus 15 percent buyer’s premium.
For the successful buyer, the title includes: the right to register a coat of arms at Lord Lyon, hunting and fishing rights once held by Clan Davidson and Clan Bain, and one acre of land. The land was previously built on, as the deeds show, so it’s assumed possible to build a new house, with planning consent … or perhaps even a new castle.
The purchaser will receive: a copy of the authentic copyhold document with wax seals in a leather-bound folder; a legal transfer deed in compliance with manorial / feudal law and the Law of Property Act 1925; an official letter required to apply the title to passport, driving license, check book and credit/debit cards; a Barony certificate, insurance / guarantee; legal right to use the title ‘Baron of Tulloch.’
Graham Fothergill at Noble Titles says: “Imagine holding the absolute right, wherever you go, to being called ‘Baron, ‘My Lord’, ‘Laird’ and more, and to hold such an ancient and Noble Scottish Title as ‘Tulloch’. The Barony of Tulloch is the ultimate heirloom, to buy now, to use in perpetuity and to pass on to succeeding generations. It is also the ultimate gift ‘for the person who has everything.’”
