Century 21 Real Estate LLC recently announced that Dr. Christina Murphy, senior director of learning and development for the company, has been appointed to the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Forum’s Advisory Group (AG). CENTURY 21 Real Estate was the first real estate company to be invited to join this elite learning group in 2011, exemplifying the brand’s commitment to being a leader in learning and performance improvement.
The ASTD Forum offers a collaborative environment for senior learning professionals and their organizations to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry at large. Forum members benefit from the ability to share knowledge, best practices and experiences with one another.
“It was an honor for our company when CENTURY 21® Real Estate was named to the Forum in 2011,” says Murphy. “With this appointment, I am personally honored to serve alongside some of the most brilliant learning professionals in the industry as part of the Advisory Group.”
The Advisory Group consists of 10 members who serve as advisors, advocates, mentors, leaders for the Forum and its members, and as partners with ASTD. Selected based on their leadership qualities, the primary role of Advisory Group members is setting direction for the Forum, engaging the Forum community, purposely sharing the Forum’s vision, championing goals, and promoting the Forum to prospective members.
“Membership in ASTD Forum’s Advisory Group is based on recognized leadership in the learning, performance, and talent management profession as well as individual leadership among peers,” says Laurie Miller, director, research services for the American Society for Training and Development. “Christina Murphy has demonstrated her skill as an outstanding practitioner, a senior innovator in her own organization, and a forward-thinking leader in the profession. She also proactively supports the ASTD Forum and is an outstanding ambassador for the Forum community. We are excited to have her serve with the ASTD Forum’s Advisory Group.”
