Pattie Huey and Matt Woodroof, with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, have joined the ranks of Global Mobility Specialists.
Huey, director of relocation and business development, and Woodroof, director of relocation operations, recently earned the designation offered by the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council.
Candidates in the Global Mobility Specialists program participate in a series of courses and corresponding exams during a three-day session that includes studies in various types of international assignment policies and practices. Tax and immigration issues related to global workforce mobility and the intercultural implications of international assignments are a major focus.
Global Mobility Specialists are equipped to serve diverse markets and to work as members of global teams.
Global Mobility Specialists appear in all Worldwide Employee Relocation Council publications, including an online directory. They benefit from instruction by global mobility veterans who have proven expertise in their fields. They also gain access to a variety of resources – keeping them current in business practices and critical issues long after the course is completed.
“When serving global markets, having an understanding of the issues that face international corporations and their workforce is critical,” Huey says. “In this course, we gained valuable insight from professionals who serve clients around the world.”
Woodroof believes global mobility is a major concern for companies and can be a major source of stress for those being transferred. “We want to make the process as pleasant as possible for everyone involved,” he said. “The Worldwide Employee Relocation Council provides the leadership and education needed to help a global workforce resettle in new neighborhoods and feel at home.”
Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene has offices conveniently located in all quadrants of the Houston Metropolitan area to serve those who want to move to another part of town or to another part of the world.
