Next month REALTORS® will gather together in Washington, D.C., at the National Association of Realtors® Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo, May 13-18, to address critical housing issues with their members of Congress. More than 9,000 participants from across the country are expected to attend meetings and visit lawmakers on Capitol Hill to engage on private property rights, homeownership and housing issues.
REALTORS® will hear firsthand the latest updates on the legislative and regulatory issues affecting today’s real estate industry. Key legislators, federal agency representatives and top industry executives will address attendees at several sessions during the meetings. REALTORS® will meet with regulators, industry leaders, and members of Congress to address issues like homeownership and real estate investment tax policies, the impact of regulations on the mortgage finance market, the commercial real estate market, measures to ensure the future availability of affordable mortgage financing, and outlooks for real estate markets and the economy.
On Thursday, May 16, RISMedia’s Power Broker Forum will take place, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in the Marriot Ballroom.
The forum will cover Power Broker Strategies: Remaining Relevant in the New Age of Real Estate. From changing consumer demographics to creating new revenue streams to rethinking operational strategies, today’s Power Brokers are adapting their business models in order to connect with consumers and agents.
