Floored was chosen as the winner among an impressive field of 15 emerging technology companies that presented their innovative new technology products and services at Realogy’s headquarters in Madison, N.J. The runner-up was HomeZada, a company whose software helps homeowners organize and manage their home, and the other finalist was BuyerMLS, a real-time buyer marketplace for agents. A panel of judges selected the three finalists, and the winner was chosen by vote of the approximately 150 industry attendees at the event.
“It was an honor to participate in Realogy FWD and we feel very grateful to have been named the winner,” says Floored CEO David Eisenberg. “The feedback we received today was tremendously helpful, but more importantly, we were inspired to see that the market leader is so open and welcoming to outside innovation.”
Floored’s 3D imaging technology captures dimensional and photographic information while walking through a property, but also allows the user to simultaneously change the space, wiping out whatever is there—ie, wallpaper, carpets, furniture—and replacing it with a new interior design.
“The way we communicate about real estate is changing,” says Eisenberg. “We’re going from 2D to 3D. Fifteen years ago, the BlackBerry changed the way the enterprise does business and then in 2009 the iPhone changed it again. We now have devices that unlock the technology to actually change the space we’re viewing.”
