Throughout our entire journey with Pinterest, we discovered so much about spreading our brand’s message to an entirely new audience. Rather than directly showing off our products and services on this new social media experience, we saw that finding creative ways to showcase how they could fit into the lifestyles of our target audience was a much more useful approach.
For example, the Huffington Post recently praised our board as a “Pinterest Account to Follow Now” “Homes.com Organization Overhaul” for our “learning quick, efficient and unique ways to get our homes in order.” If your business can adopt that mindset then Pinterest will be an integral part of your marketing strategies and help accomplish your brand’s goals, just like it has with us!
In conclusion, we’d like to leave you with some easy tips to remember:
• Allow users to quickly and easily share your content by adding a “Pin it” button to your site.
• Make sure you post high quality images on your site or blog for consumers to pin. Also pin these images to your own Pinterest profile to promote sharing
• If you are posting an infographic, be sure to break it up into smaller, more easily readable sections for pinning.
• To showcase the original source of a pinned image and to promote branding, add watermarks to your images when posting them to Pinterest.
