NAR’s sample disclosure language, available at www.realtor.org, informs buyers that:
1. Flood insurance may be required for this property.
2. Federal law provides for the availability of flood insurance and establishes flood insurance policy premiums.
3. Those premiums are increasing and may rise substantially in the future.
4. Past premiums paid are not an indication of premiums that may be charged in the future.
5. They should consult with carriers of flood insurance for more information.

Real estate professionals in nearly every state have reported that their listings have been scrapped or hijacked by scammers and posted on rental websites such as Craigslist, Hotpads, Vacation Rentals By Owner, and others.
