As the market rebounds, so does the abundance of real estate professionals. So how do you set yourself apart? In this competitive marketplace, it’s the agents with the strongest personal brands who stand out and drive their business to the next level. Whether you’re new to the business or looking to expand, you too can create an effective personal brand.
Start by identifying your niche. What type of real estate do you prefer, and what are you best at? Use this to your advantage to promote yourself as being an expert in that field. Then, determine your target clientele. Establish both the region and the type of buyer you want to cater to. It is important to pinpoint this because you’ll want to market yourself in a way that appeals to potential clients.
Although you’ll want to construct your brand with clients in mind, remember that you are your brand. Every client interaction reflects on your brand, so be careful to present your genuine self and market your true qualities and expertise.
Next, define your brand and determine how you’d like all of your marketing collateral to look and feel. If you’re not with an established company, you’ll need to create your own logo, website, business card, and other marketing materials. Hire a professional graphic and/or Web designer to help realize your vision. All colors, fonts and photos should represent you and your niche. And because your headshot is the first time a potential client “meets” you, it should be an accurate representation of your best self.
