While the app was designed with all buyers in mind, Joseph notes that the educational videos on the My New Home YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/mynew-home)—which can be linked to from within the app—offer advice that is more targeted toward first-time buyers. “Our YouTube channel is a great resource, full of videos that offer practical advice from people who have purchased a home, as well as experts within the industry.”
Nearing their 300,000th download (at press time), the app’s overall average of ratings—across both the Android and iOS operating systems—is just less than four stars.
“There’s a lot of competition on the Web and in mobile technology, so finding new ways to differentiate from the competition is crucial to success,” concludes Rolnik. “Onboard’s data enhances the overall experience for Chase customers and provides increased value and knowledge to their home searching process, hopefully bringing them back again and again.”
