Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., one of the largest independent residential real estate companies in the United States, has announced that its McLean, Va., office surpassed $1 billion in real estate sales for 2013, as of Oct. 23. This is the first time the office has sold more than $1 billion of real estate in a single year, which is a significant accomplishment in the real estate business, the company stated.

The McLean office is home to about 250 real estate professionals, and it is among the top locations in all of Long & Foster, often ranking in the company’s top five for both sales volume and units. Additionally, it is the No. 1 office by sales volume among all brokerage offices in the Northern Virginia region. The office is led by managing broker Lonnie Plaster along with sales manager Susan Fadoul, and their agents help home buyers and sellers throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and suburban Maryland.
