REach™ recently named Treater as the seventh company to join its charter class. REach™ is an Accelerator program developed by Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the National Association of Realtors®, to introduce innovative technology companies to the real estate marketplace. Treater joins BombBomb, Lumentus, Planwise, Reach150, Updater, and Workface, who were named to REach™ last month.
“We’re excited to add Treater to our growing family of companies in the REach™ Accelerator program,” says Constance Freedman, Vice President of Strategic Investments for NAR and REach™ Accelerator Managing Director. “REALTORS®’ businesses are built on relationships, and Treater’s platform will help them enhance those relationships.”
Based in Washington, DC, Treater is a mobile, social commerce platform that enables businesses and brands to engage new and existing customers with promotional offers, rewards and gifts. The Treater app lets users instantly send real Treats to friends, family and business partners, all from their mobile phones. Treats are delivered by Facebook post, email, text message Twitter or LinkedIn. The lucky recipient can then use his or her smartphone to redeem the Treat with a mobile payment card at stores, restaurants and online outlets. Real estate agents use Treater to treat prospective clients and stay in touch with their existing clients.
REach™ accepts fewer than a dozen companies each year to access one of the world’s largest industries with NAR’s assistance. As a participating company, Treater will receive education, mentorship and market exposure to help it access the trillion-dollar real estate market and leverage strategic expertise offered by the leaders and members of the U.S.’ largest trade association. In the process, REach™ also fulfills NAR’s core mission by identifying technologies, resources and companies to benefit the industry and its members.
