In preparation for the beginning of the most trafficked months for open houses, realtor.com® has initiated systems for brokers and their agents to maximize their open house efforts.
To start things off, realtor.com® will help you learn how to post their open houses on the realtor.com® website and also to make them visible on realtor.com®‘s mobile applications.
In addition, there are support tools available to help close more open house visitors. To overcome “sign in reluctance,” there is a toolkit available that includes a free e-newsletter, a sign-in sheet to get the newsletter, downloadable posters and fliers, a guide book for first-time buyers and a mobile micro-site for open house listings.
The idea is to provide not only a larger audience, but also to provide the means to easily follow-up with all open house customers with some automation – as agents typically cannot know for certain which ones are likely to move sooner versus later.
This effort was started as a result of April’s open house weekend, but was also crafted as a result of the fact that 45% of all home buyers last year attended an open house, according to NAR’s Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers – and the same survey also revealed that open house was one of the top four places a consumer met their agent, (after personal referrals, past sales and the Internet).
