During its inaugural FWD Innovation Summit held recently at the firm’s new headquarters in Madison, New Jersey, Realogy Holdings Corp. announced Floored, a New York City-based company that generates interactive 3D models of all types of real estate, as the winner among 15 finalists, taking home not only top honors but a $25,000 cash prize.
“Floored and its 3D modeling capabilities truly stood out among today’s field of talented entrepreneurs,” says Alex Perriello, president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group. “Every presenter showcased innovative ideas with a range of practical applications, but there could only be one winner. We’re excited to continue a dialogue with each of these companies as we continue to move forward at the intersection of real estate and technology innovation.”
The FWD Innovation Summit was created to discover the most creative, up-and-coming technology firms serving the real estate industry. The 15 finalists were chosen from the 94 companies that applied to be part of the event.
According to Perriello, “Our industry is evolving and what’s driving that evolution is technology. These start-up entrepreneurs are relatively new to the industry and are looking at the business through a fresh set of eyes and creating new ways in which we can serve the home-buying and –selling public. We could sit back and wait, and hope successful technology companies find us, or we could go out and find them. That’s why we launched the Realogy Innovation Summit.”
