I want you to take a moment to envision a doctor, mechanic, and the President of the United States. What is each one wearing? Now think about a real estate professional. What are they wearing? If what you have on now is anything less than the professional image you just viewed in your mind’s eye, then it might be time to make a change and step up to your “super suit.”
2. Study Your Market
Batman is a detective first. When he has to battle bad guys, he goes into his bat cave to study their trends, style, attributes, and patterns. He does extensive research on his enemy. Now I am not saying that clients are your enemy. I am merely making a comparison on how Batman takes his time to study and prepare for the unexpected.
How often do you visit your bat cave? What I mean by this is how much time do you spend studying the market and your client? Can you tell clients about the last home to sell in your development? What are the average days on the market for a 4-bedroom, 2 ½-bath Colonial? These are the details you need to know inside and out. Block out a few hours of your schedule every week to study your market and preview homes. Know your product. Be a real estate genius!
