Today’s “Ask the Expert” column features John Wendorff, Chief Encouragement Officer for the Personal Marketing Company.
Q: As the real estate market continues to improve, what should real estate professionals focus on in order to find success, long term?
A: I was discussing real estate agents with a close friend of mine a few days ago. That’s not too unusual for me, as I spend a great deal of my awake time thinking about how to make their lives and careers more productive.
He mentioned to me, even after watching a terrific agent (a family member) up close for a number of years, that he still didn’t have a firm understanding of what made an agent successful, long term.
He asked me to tell him what it takes to be a really good agent, over time.
“LUCK,” I said.
What?
LUCK…I can hear the groans and screams from the faithful right now.
“It’s a profession…a calling…a _____________”…you fill in the blank.
