Key to maximizing success: Help develop your agent’s business, because their success is the company’s success. Real estate is a relationship-based business, so work on building relationships, and being available for your team.
Favorite way to connect with agents: Video email messages. I use YouTube and Videolicious, which creates a quick video design, and then I can add music and pictures.
What is your top marketing tool?
Our Realty ONE Group app is free to all of our agents, and it’s one of our top marketing tools. We also showcase our agents’ listings across the Web, on our www.RealtyONEGroup.com site and through powerful listing syndication that puts our agents’ listings on over 900 sites. Additionally, we feature our agents’ listings on Homes.com and Trulia at NO cost to the agent, which boosts their exposure 3-5 times. We also have a beautiful quarterly magazine in digital and print format and www.RealtyONEGroup.TV, an online TV site that features all of our videos and showcases our culture. Our corporate office does a great job with providing high-class marketing material, all of which point directly to the agent to help them boost their brand.
What are your market’s current challenges, and how are you and your company overcoming them?
Inventory is still low, and we overcome it by training, coaching and supporting our team in the focus of lead generation, and that’s really what it boils down to. Everything points back to lead generation.
What factor has the largest influence on the real estate industry today?
Communication. Your business can be very successful if you’re communicating effectively. If you’re communicating poorly, your chance of success is significantly lessened. And then there’s the idea—and this isn’t rocket science—of just being nice.
How are you successfully staying ahead of the competition?
We have an outlook on abundance vs. scarcity. Realty ONE Group is a forward-thinking, abundance theory company. The company is about giving, and we give a lot. That’s why we succeed on the level that we do.
Your company has seen a lot of recent growth. What can you attribute that to?
We’re only nine years old, and in 2013 we rocketed from 15 offices to 50. It’s been a fast and furious ride, and I attribute this growth to the fact that agents and employees alike are results-oriented and motivated. We don’t settle and are constantly motivated to reach that next level.
