RISMEDIA, July 7, 2014–Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty proudly announces Kevin Waugaman as Managing Broker of the company’s Ponte Vedra Beach office. Waugaman replaces Don Cline, who has been promoted to assistant general manager for the company.
“Kevin is the consummate professional and we are thrilled to welcome him to our company to lead our premier Ponte Vedra Beach office and team,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda Sherrer. “Kevin’s talent and expertise brings new energy to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and he is a wonderful complement to our exceptional leadership team, helping us deliver the highest level of performance and service to our associates and clients.”
Prior to joining the company, Waugaman spent nine years at Premier Realty Group in Stuart, Fla., including five years as the company’s vice president of sales. While at Premier, Waugaman is credited with helping to grow the company’s business from $60 million to $120 million annually in five years.
“We are proud to add Kevin to our leadership team,” said Christy Budnick, executive vice president of residential real estate. “With a long history of success combined with exceptional skills, dedication and passion for helping others succeed, Kevin is the right person to lead our Ponte Vedra office of superstars and help position Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty for future growth and success.”
Waugaman is deeply rooted in Northeast Florida and Berkshire Hathaway. His career began in Jacksonville with the financial services firm, Merrill Lynch, where his responsibilities included mortgage origination, asset management and technology implementation before his promotion to the firm’s leadership team for the Florida region.
Waugaman is a graduate of Elon University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on finance. During his college years, Waugaman received a book from his father about Berkshire’s founder: “Buffett, The Making of an American Capitalist.” While at Elon, he wrote a paper about the book that examined how to properly align the interests of salespeople with those of their clients, a concept that has remained with him ever since.
During the time he previously lived in Ponte Vedra Beach, Waugaman attended and played basketball at Jacksonville’s Episcopal High School. Waugaman and his wife, Jessica, recently relocated to Ponte Vedra to be closer to family and friends, and so that he could join Northeast Florida’s leading real estate firm.
“I chose to align with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty because of its dynamic culture and reputation,” Waugaman said. “I have visited and studied many offices and business models over the years, and I recognize the value and benefits of this successful company. I am excited to join the team and privileged to serve the associates in the Ponte Vedra Beach office and the Northeast Florida community.”
