Members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) automatically have access to a wide array of exclusive business tools, data, educational opportunities and discount programs—all of which have been carefully designed to help REALTORS® build their business, work more efficiently, and build stronger client relationships in order to succeed in today’s market.
Start with the Member Center
NAR’s Member Center allows REALTORS® to stay central on everything their national, state and local membership offers in one handy location. Accessible by computer, and with convenient apps for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, the personalized Member Center allows members to add Association events directly to their calendar. Brokers and their agents can view, download or order their 2014 membership cards directly from the Member Center—whether a digital card, .PDF or—for a nominal fee—a traditional plastic card. The card design can be selected from a number of options and can display up to six designations or certifications along with the member’s NRDS number.
REALTOR Benefits® Program
Every NAR member should check out the latest offerings available to them from the REALTOR Benefits® Program. Brokers and their agents will find valuable discounts or special offers from more than 30 industry-leading companies, designed to help members save time and money, grow their business and gain a competitive edge. Partners include REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace, Chrysler Group, Lowe’s, Sprint, Dell, DocuSign and many more. “Like” the REALTOR Benefits® Program’s Facebook page so you don’t miss a single special offer.
Realtors Property Resource®
Realtors Property Resource® (RPR®) is the national property database from NAR, designed to provide information on more than 160 million parcels in the United States. Only NAR members can use this robust real estate database, complete with hundreds of datasets and analytical tools, to help their clients make more informed decisions—all at no cost. Members can also find information, case studies, training and more on how to leverage RPR® in their business.
Another powerful exclusive benefit is access to NAR’s consumer website, realtor.com®. The site features listings that are sourced directly from over 800 MLSs, most of them updated every 15 minutes. Realtor.com® also provides all REALTORS® with a variety of free business-building tools, information and apps they can utilize to market themselves and their services to consumers, including a personal REALTOR® profile; agent and broker contact information on all listings, a collaborative mobile search app that can build a loyal customer base and more.
NAR is leading the way in technology, and the new .REALTOR domain is no exception. The goal of the new .REALTOR domain—expected to be available by the fall of 2014—is to create a name space where homebuyers, sellers and investors can go to find the most credible, trusted real estate information, resources and professional services online—and ensure they are working with a REALTOR®. Since only members of NAR and the Canadian Real Estate Association can call themselves REALTORS®, only REALTORS® are allowed to use the new .REALTOR domain in connection with their name. NAR will provide the first 500,000 members who register with a free .REALTOR domain for one year.
Member Value Plus (MVP) Program
Active involvement is the best way for REALTORS® to maximize their NAR membership. Thanks to the Member Value Plus (MVP Program), NAR is helping to encourage involvement that maximizes membership value. Through MVP, members are able to take advantage of exclusive initiatives, programs and tools already available to them from their National Association and reward them with free products, discounts and gift cards. The popular program encourages REALTORS® to take simple actions that take just a few minutes and will benefit themselves and their business, and then rewards them for being an active participant in their Association.
