RISMEDIA, June 6, 2014–The Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors® (EBCBOR) announces Rutherford resident, Justin Smith, Realtor® with RE/MAX White House, as the recipient of the 2013 Rookie Salesperson of the Year award. Smith was recognized as a rising star in the real estate profession during the annual Circle of Excellence Awards Luncheon held at the Hasbrouck Heights Hilton.
EBCBOR President Bowen Pak said, “As a Broker, I have spent many hours working with my new agents; helping them to learn all the things licensing classes do not teach. It is a proud moment for a Broker when they watch a new agent succeed early on.” He said, “Justin Smith exemplifies a REALTOR® rising star in our Association, who is noted for exceeding client expectations and displaying a strong commitment to the code of ethics. Marion Douglass, Broker of RE/MAX White House should be commended for training and nurturing this talented real estate professional”.
Licensed in 2012, Smith always had an interest in the real estate industry and a passion for helping others. After joining the team at RE/MAX White House, Smith used mentoring and training programs to arm himself with the tools necessary for working effectively with buyers who dream of becoming homeowners in Bergen County. Smith explained he originally transitioned from previous career into real estate in order to be a force of goodwill in the lives of others.
Smith said, “I was a former stock broker in the city, and I never felt like I was helping anyone. As a Realtor, you are providing the guidance and support to help someone make the biggest purchase of their life”. He continued, “Your clients trust you to help them reach their goal of home ownership. We really help people move on to the next chapter of their lives. Whether the goal is personal investment, commercial development or access to homeownership, we as Realtors facilitate growth”
In his first year of membership with EBCBOR, Justin became an active member of the Young Professionals Network, was recognized as TECH Spotter for his innovative use of technology in real estate business and established himself as a great resource for his fellow agents. Justin is also dedicated to local community service and organizes various charitable events throughout the year. He has already achieved the NJAR Bronze Level of the Circle of Excellence Sales Award twice since earning his license.
Marion Douglass, Broker of RE/MAX White House says, “Justin’s contribution to EBCBOR and to the financial success of our office is the direct result of hard work, a solid focus on sales goals and true REALTOR ® work ethic. He can connect with the needs of buyers and sellers alike and strives to help prospective owners achieve their goals”.
