Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties, a provider of residential real estate services to the Greater St. Louis region, earned a $2,000 donation for the Sunshine Kids Foundation through a Yammer contest facilitated by Microsoft.
Yammer is a social network created for businesses to complete work more efficiently. Microsoft promised to donate $2,000 to the charity of Select Properties’ choice if they could garner 100 “likes” on a Select Properties’ post on Yammer’s site.
The effort was led by Chief Information Officer Nate Carr, who managed to garner 105 likes. Select Properties was the first company in the U.S to achieve this.
Select Properties will be raising awareness and funds for the Sunshine Kids Foundation again via their Sunshine Kids 5K Fun Run. The event will take place at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 24 at 1215 Larkin Williams Rd. in Fenton Park.
