The Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors (EBCBOR) has announced that, Alireza “Ali” Memar, Broker of RE/MAX Select Properties in Fort Lee, N.J. was selected as its 2014 REALTOR® of the Year. Memar is being recognized for his outstanding achievement in serving the EBCBOR, the real estate profession and Bergen County’s diverse resident population through his dedication to international real estate issues and education.

Memar has been a member of the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® since 2003. Currently serving as 2015 Treasurer, he has served as Chair of the Equal Opportunity/ Cultural Diversity Committee for 2 years. He was instrumental in launching EBCBOR’S Global Business Council, which has been named one of seven Gold councils by the National Association of REALTORS®.
As a member of the EBCBOR Board of Directors, Memar has supported initiatives that have brought specialized classes and workshops to Bergen County REALTORS® aligning them with the highest level of knowledge related to Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity business practices. Memar is a Certified International Property Specialist( CIPS) by the National Association of REALTORS®. This designation represents an expertise for working with international buyers and sellers, foreign-born United States residents and cultural relativity.
Memar is a mentor to many young professionals. As broker of RE/MAX Select Properties, he helps educate young REALTORS®, and has helped shaped the professionalism of the local industry through a commitment to Ethics training.
Memar was honored recently by the New Jersey REALTORS® (NJAR®) at an awards ceremony during the Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo in Atlantic City.
