The Chandler Barton Spirit, Preserving the Trust and Coldwell Banker Hero of the Year awards recognize the sales associate, manager, and broker/owner affiliated with the Coldwell Banker® brand who best exemplify leadership, business excellence, and service to others. The winners were nominated by their peers and selected from approximately 88,000 professionals affiliated with the Coldwell Banker network worldwide.

Coldwell Banker Chandler Barton Spirit Award
Rick Canup, Principle Broker, CEO and Owner of Coldwell Banker Rick Canup, REALTORS®, in Lubbock, Texas.
Named after Chandler Barton, president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate from 1989 to 1996, this accolade honors a “can do” attitude and ongoing legacy that leaves a lasting impression on the Coldwell Banker network through an ability to overcome obstacles to achieve objectives.
Canup earned this year’s award for his 40-year career in real estate and infectiously positive spirit. He established his company in 1977 and became an affiliate of Coldwell Banker Real Estate in 1984. Canup is a renowned business figure in Lubbock and his firm is a leader in that market. His motto, “Do the right thing…Value others…Be the best…Choose life” personifies his commitment to the success of his sales associates and staff.
Coldwell Banker Preserving the Trust Award

With 45 years of experience in the real estate industry, Prodehl’s success can be attributed to his strong character, smart business decisions, and integrating and investing himself into the communities where he has lived and worked. Over the course of his career, Prodehl has grown his company from 20 agents and two offices into a Midwest powerhouse with 1,200 agents and 51 offices with over 10,000 sides and more than $42 million in adjusted gross commission (AGC) revenue in 2014.
