Diane Thurber-Wamsley was recently honored at the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTOR Mid-Year Legislative Meeting at the Glen Pointe Marriott in Teaneck as the recipient of the 2015 EBCBOR Good Neighbor Award. EBCBOR established the Good Neighbor Award to annually recognize a member who demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to community service through volunteerism and civic and charitable contributions that improve the lives of local residents and make their community a better place to live.
“Bergen County REALTORS® not only help people realize the dream of homeownership, they also help build their communities. REALTORS®, like Diane, contribute countless hours helping neighbors and fellow residents. I am honored to recognize her continued dedication to our communities” says Bowen Pak, 2015 EBCBOR President.
Nominees for the award engage in a broad range of eligible activities that include volunteer work relating to affordable housing issues, educational programs, youth-related activities, or any other civic or charitable activity that improves the lives of local residents or the community at-large.
“It is a tremendous honor to be awarded EBCBOR’S first Good Neighbor Award, and I am grateful for the support I’ve received from the Realtor® family,” Thurber-Wamsley says. “I feel privileged that I am able to provide help to our communities.”
Thurber-Wamsley is the Broker of Concord Realty Group in Englewood Cliffs and a past President of EBCBOR. She currently serves as a Director to the National Association of REALTORS. The Good Neighbor Award, which recognizes EBCBOR REALTOR® members that are making positive changes in their communities by helping others, is generously sponsored by the EBCBOR REALTORS® Care Foundation. The Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center in Hackensack received a donation in her name as winner of the Good Neighbor Award.
