On December 8 and 9, REMAX held its second team-building event in Las Vegas. With more than 600 RE/MAX Affiliates from all over the world, the event was a smash hit, and showed agents the benefit of working together.
Held at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, attendees heard from top industry coaches about sharing best practices to elevate their team strategies to the next level and support the ultimate team development. Some speakers included Tom Ferry, Judy LaDeur, Travis Robertson and David Scott, as well as RE/MAX CEO and Co-Founder Dave Liniger, who stated that teams offered good agents an opportunity to become better through more efficient use of their time.
“Teams offer efficient process management to the real estate transaction, buyers and sellers, says Amy Somerville, RE/MAX vice president of Education and Training, who goes on to note that teams provide the opportunity for individual agents to work together, focus on their strengths, and drive a single business goal.
The event covered important team-building topics like management systems, structure types, delegated roles and individual responsibilities.
“We covered the complete team story,” says Somerville, who noted that the event covered all the major team-building W’s: Why, when, what and who, as well as how to hire and how to become profitable.
So what’s the recipe for a successful team? According to Somerville, it’s a business-minded leader, talented, productive agents and staff, unstoppable team culture and a team focus on providing outstanding customer service.
