To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Zillow recently ranked 10 of the most popular homes ever listed on their platform, including The White House and Michael Jordan’s Chicago mansion, and named the top celebrity buyers and sellers from the last decade.
Lists aside, the company kicked off anniversary celebrations in Seattle by lighting their downtown HQ and the Seattle Great Wheel with a “Z”. CEO Spencer Rascoff, along with 40 of Zillow’s earliest employees, rang NASDAQ’s Closing Bell from Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
“Ten years ago this week, I stood in a conference room in downtown Seattle, with 75 of my colleagues and we flipped the switch, launching Zillow,” Rascoff wrote in an intimate Linkedin post about the company’s decade marker. “For the first time, homeowners, buyers and sellers had access to unprecedented information about the housing market – including millions of free home valuations, which we call Zestimates – on the web.”
