Kathy Baker, RE/MAX Vice President of Franchise and Business Solutions was awarded RISMedia’s 2012 National Homeownership Award during its 17th annual Power Broker Dinner in Orlando, Fla.
The National Homeownership Award is sponsored by Bank of America and tributes a member of the real estate industry for exceptional contributions toward increasing homeownership and building better communities.
“Determination and dedication are a must-have in this industry,” Baker says. “I have a strong commitment within this organization and will continue to help the industry, as a whole, move forward.”
Since joining the RE/MAX family in 1995 as a Broker/Owner of a RE/MAX office in North Carolina, Baker has been awarded a variety of RE/MAX honors, including 1997 Regional Manager of the Year, 1998 Regional Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker Award, 2007 RE/MAX Manager of the Year and a 2010 RE/MAX Special Service Award.
In September, Baker’s role expanded from an RU consultant and trainer to Vice President of Franchise and Business Solutions. In addition to strengthening RU training programs, Baker has taken on the leadership role of developing franchise sales and business coaching programs, with an emphasis on agent recruiting and retention.
“There are many qualities a true leader has — integrity, inspiration, dedication and compassion,” says Margaret Kelly, RE/MAX CEO. “Kathy has all of these and more; she is a natural leader and an ideal example to real estate professionals everywhere.”
As the ninth industry icon to receive the award, Baker is surrounded by previous RE/MAX honorees including Dave Liniger, RE/MAX Chairman and Co-Founder.
