A much sought-after speaker, Casey has spoken to real estate professionals throughout the U.S., and as far away as England.
When he joined MRIS in January 2001, David Charron brought a wealth of leadership and strategic industry experience, combining an extensive background in real estate, information systems and Internet business solutions. As MRIS President and Chief Executive Officer, Charron brings a customer-service focus and first-person management style to his role overseeing all MRIS operations, ensuring that, as one of the nation’s largest MLS systems, MRIS maintains its leadership edge. He also emphasizes two-way communications with the MRIS Board of Directors and MRIS Shareholders, fostering collaboration and inspiring innovation. Charron currently serves as Chairman of the MRIS Investment Committee and is a former board member of the REALTORS® Federal Credit Union in addition to being a former member of the NAR MLS Policy Committee. He is also a founding member of COVE, an industry think tank comprised of large MLS organizations.
As Vice President of Industry Services, Alon Chaver is responsible for the strategy and direction of Trulia’s Broker, MLS and Data quality teams. He also leads Trulia’s efforts to build new services for brokers and MLSs, expand data quality initiatives and strengthen partnerships with brokers and MLSs to empower their agents and members with the tools they need to grow their businesses. Chaver has extensive experience in real estate, data management and online real estate products. Prior to joining Trulia, Chaver was the CEO of iHomefinder, a premium IDX technology provider that grew to be a trusted partner under Chaver’s leadership, serving over 1,500 brokerages, thousands of agents in hundreds of MLSs, over 250 technology vendors, local Associations of Realtors and leading regional MLSs.
Sherry A. Chris was appointed president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC in October of 2007. Her appointment followed Realogy’s announcement that it had entered into a 50-year agreement with Meredith Corporation to license the Better Homes and Gardens® name to launch a new and dynamic global residential real estate brand. Chris has nearly 30 years of real estate experience, including significant senior management positions. A native of Canada, she began her real estate career in Ontario and held increasingly senior positions with Royal LePage for 16 years before taking on executive roles with Real Living (Ohio) and Prudential CA/NV/TX Realty. She joined Realogy in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. Chris serves on the advisory boards for REALTOR.com® and Zillow. In 2010, she received the Stevie Award for Best Executive in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
Richard W. “Rick” Davidson was appointed president and chief executive officer of CENTURY 21 Real Estate in February 2010. In his role, Davidson leads the world’s largest residential real estate sales organization of approximately 7,600 independently owned and operated franchised brokerage offices and more than 112,000 sales associates in 71 countries and territories worldwide. With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Davidson is a licensed real estate broker in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia and earned the SIOR, Executive Management Specialist designation in 2009. Davidson currently serves on the international board of directors for Easter Seals and is active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters and a number of other local and national charities.

Bob Hale has been the president and chief executive officer of the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) since 1988. Through Hale’s leadership, HAR has grown to become the largest trade association in Houston and the second largest local REALTOR® association in the country, with more than 24,000 members. Hale has earned recognition from the National Association of REALTORS®’s (NAR) REALTOR® Magazine, as one of the 25 Most Influential People in the American real estate industry in both 2003 and 2006. Todd A. Hetherington is CEO of NM Management, Inc., an Alexandria, Va.-based company whose core services organizations provide a complete range of real estate sales and service support to clients in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. NM Management includes CENTURY 21® New Millennium, 1st County Mortgage Services, Bay County Title and Escrow, and Proactive Property Management. Having completed active duty military service in 1990, Hetherington started a residential real estate company focused on providing relocation support to families at the various military installations in the National Capitol area. He joined the CENTURY 21 franchise in 1994 and in 1998, he merged with other local CENTURY 21 brokers forming CENTURY 21 New Millennium. Vince Leisey owns and runs Prudential Ambassador Real Estate in Omaha, Neb., with an office serving Lincoln, Neb. as well. Leisey was the youngest person to ever be awarded the prestigious Prudential Real Estate Broker of the Year award in 2007 and his Omaha office has been the Top Prudential Office four of the last five years in the Prudential Network of over 1,900 offices in North America. Leisey is past-president of Nebraska REALTORS®, current President of the Omaha Area Board of REALTORS®, and sits on the Nebraska Real Estate Commission.
Kevin Levent is the president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers, a full-service real estate brokerage in the greater Atlanta marketplace for more than 30 years. Levent joined the company more than 25 years ago as a sales associate and assumed his present role 15 years ago. The company has 1,600 sales associates working from 25 office locations throughout the region, and operates a unique business model with centralization of processes driven by technology. As President of RE/MAX Gateway, Scott MacDonald has built a solid reputation for creating a company that focuses its attention on its agents. Alexander E. Perriello, III, has served as president and chief executive officer of the Realogy Franchise Group since April 2004. The Group is the largest franchisor of residential and commercial real estate brokerage offices in the world. Perriello oversees the Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, Coldwell Banker Commercial®, ERA® and Sotheby’s International Realty® real estate brands, which combined have approximately 13,600 franchised and company-owned offices and 239,000 brokers and sales associates doing business in 102 countries around the world. In addition, Perriello is responsible for the Franchise Group’s shared support services, including domestic and international franchise sales, administration, finance, business development, information technology, learning and human resources. With more than 35 years in the real estate industry, Perriello serves on the National Association of REALTORS® as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In addition, he chaired the 2010 Strategic Planning Committee and has been a member of the Large Firm Advisory Council since 2005. Bill Plattos is the general manager and executive vice president of First Team Real Estate, a company he joined in 1979 as an ambitious agent. Dick Schlott is currently the chairman and CEO of Gloria Nilson REALTORS® and RLS REALTORS®. With more than 40 years in the real estate business, Schlott is a well-known and highly regarded professional in the industry. He founded Schlott REALTORS® in 1971 and grew it to 140 offices and 4,500 salespeople across five states, with more than $7 billion in sales. Schlott also developed the Home Mortgage Network before selling Schlott REALTORS® to Coldwell Banker in the early 1990s. Schlott then ran the ERA Franchise system until its sale to Cendant in the mid 1990s. He then moved on to develop GMAC Home Services and served as president and CEO from the late 1990s through early 2001. During this time, one of the purchases he made for the company was that of Gloria Nilson REALTORS®.
Greg Schwartz is the chief revenue officer of Zillow, Inc., and responsible for sales and business strategy. He structured and now manages the largest real estate ad network in partnership with Yahoo! Homes. Prior to Zillow, he was vice president of advertising sales at CNNMoney where he launched the advertising sales team and platform. Previously, he was national accounts director for Yahoo!’s Automotive and Finance properties and also held multiple positions at DoubleClick, Inc., including director of business development, where he made valiant efforts to launch a wireless advertising business more than 10 years ago.
Gary Scott is president of Long & Foster Brokerage, Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., part of The Long & Foster Companies, which also includes: Prosperity Mortgage Company; Walker Jackson Mortgage Corporation; Long & Foster Insurance Agency, Inc.; and Long & Foster Settlement Services. Scott entered the real estate business in 1986 in Delaware with B. Gary Scott REALTORS®. From 1993 to 1998, he was the general manager for Delaware’s Patterson Schwartz, where he led six offices and 300 agents. He relocated to North Carolina and became part of Allen Tate Company’s leadership team. Scott also has experience in mortgage, insurance, builder services, title, relocation and other home services. He currently oversees Long & Foster’s more than 11,000 sales associates in seven Mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia.
Kenneth R. Trepeta Esq. has been director of Real Estate Services for the National Association of REALTORS® since June of 2007. In this role, he covers the broader real estate industry for NAR on the legislative and regulatory front, acting as liaison to senior executives at large real estate firms. Prior to this, Trepeta was the Regulatory Policy Representative for NAR, handling regulatory and industry relations on issues such as RESPA and federal housing policy, including FHA. Trepeta’s former roles include serving as a vice president for Government Relations at JP Morgan Chase, where he covered tax policy, housing and mortgage issues, legal reform issues, etc., and serving as vice president for Government Relations at the Financial Services Forum, where he led successful efforts to change the tax code with regard to capital gains and dividends and reform the nation’s class action laws. Trepeta is a monthly columnist for RISMedia, covering the Dodd-Frank Act, RESPA and other key housing issues impacting real estate professionals and consumers.
