The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment (NAHRO) has awarded The Littleton Housing Authority the outstanding Merit Award for three local resident programs. This is a distinguished honor recognizing excellence in the nation in housing program achievement through out the entire 2007 year.
Two of Littleton Housing Authority officials received the award recently at an awards ceremony in Chicago. The award represents innovative resident service programs that the Littleton Housing Authority created and implemented in 2007. The Resident and Client Services awards include innovative use of programs such as special activities created specifically for children, families, the elderly and social services. The projects that received credit for the Merit award helped create affordable homes for people in need of better housing solutions.
Each specific program was designed to help enhance and enrich the lives of Littleton residents in need of assistance. The exceptional programs were designed to help each group of residents most importantly families and local Littleton residents. As someone who lives and works in Littleton, Colorado it is exciting to see these types of initiatives being recognized on a national level.
