Last week was the Mid-Year NAR (National Association of REALTORS) meeting, and attendees were presented with a quandry. Before going outdoors or off to work, do you check the National Media for the weather forecast? NO, you research your local media outlets for their prediction and even two local forfecasts will vary a little bit on the chance of precipitation or the high temperature for the day. Well just as weather is local, REALTORS were reminded that Real Estate markets are local and they should be doing their own research and informing their clients of the local market results. So the next time you pick up that National paper or review a nationwide web article on the state of real estate, ask yourself “If it is raining outside my window, does that mean it in raining 100 miles away too?”
If you need assistance with understanding your local real estate market conact a local real estate agent and ask them to provide you with a market survey. If you do not have a relationship with a real estate professional in your area, then visit ExitMidSouth.com and search for an agent in your area. Also check back to this site frequently as the local market is ressearched and revealed here.
