Keeping the (Virtual) Doors Open
As essential business owners, we live in challenging times, doing our best to maintain excellent service while taking important measures to ensure the safety of our employees and customers.
Like you, we are following CDC health guidelines as well as state and local ordinances, and unless their jobs require them to work onsite, such as those who facilitate valet closings, our employees are still working remotely in most areas.
As your title/escrow partner, committed to closing your transactions in a timely manner even in these stressful times, we have expanded sanitation protocols to keep the work environment safe. Closings are by appointment only, communication takes place by phone, email or video chat, and no walk-in visitors are permitted.
We are still encouraging remote closings or valet closings, a procedure much appreciated by health-conscious customers who can sign documents with a one-time use pen from the safety and comfort of their vehicles.
On rare occasions when an in-person closing is required, we follow strict best practices procedures:
- Customers with appointments are instructed to call from their vehicle before entering the office
- Required signers only may attend in-office closings
- Signers are pre-screened for health symptoms, recent travel to high-risk areas, or exposure to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19
- Signers must wear a cloth face covering, maintain a distance of six feet or more, and refrain from handshakes or other physical contact
- Closing rooms are prepped before each appointment and cleaned again afterward
In the event that someone tests positive for the coronavirus, we take steps to contain the spread, including quarantines and closing offices.
The Realogy Title Group family of companies applauds the strategies brokers and agents are adopting to meet the needs of buyers and sellers in safe and creative ways. Working together to make every transaction safe, seamless, and efficient, we fulfill our mission to help customers achieve their American Dream even in trying times.
