Openhouse.com Welcomes Prudential’s Open House Listings

RISMEDIA, March 20, 2008-OpenHouse.com, a consumer destination site for open house listings nationwide, announced an agreement to receive a bulk data feed from Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., a Prudential Financial, Inc. company.

Through this agreement, all Prudential Real Estate open house listings will be automatically uploaded to OpenHouse.com on a daily basis.

Prudential Real Estate is one of the largest real estate brokerage franchise networks in North America, with nearly 2,100 franchise offices and approximately 64,000 sales professionals in its franchise network.

This news comes on the heels of the March 6 announcement that OpenHouse.com began receiving listings from Real Estate One, a leading independent real estate brokerage firm headquartered in Southfield, Mich., which was the first outside company to post its open house listings on OpenHouse.com. Previously, OpenHouse.com accepted listings exclusively from real estate brokerages affiliated with its parent company, Realogy Corporation, and its franchise brands: CENTURY 21(r), Coldwell Banker(r), ERA(r) and Sotheby’s International Realty(r).

“We are excited that Prudential Real Estate has embraced the spirit of this venture, and we look forward to working with them by marketing their franchise network’s open house listings on our site,” said Ben Phillips, vice president and managing director of OpenHouse.com. “Ultimately, our goal is to provide consumers with a focused, single source for all industry open house information.”

“Automating the access to on-demand information related to all open houses – no matter what brand – has great potential value for consumers and our affiliated real estate companies,” said Laurie Keenan, president, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. “This approach is clearly the way of the future.”

According to the company, OpenHouse.com currently allows consumers to search by price, date/time, location or number of bedrooms. The site will remain neutral at all times and will not allow searches by specific brand or brokerage name.

OpenHouse.com has made the commitment that it will not accept any real estate brand, brokerage or ancillary service advertising on its site.

All customer leads from OpenHouse.com go directly to the listing brokerage or agent, and OpenHouse.com does not redistribute the open house listings or leads in any way.

As previously announced in January 2008, OpenHouse.com will accept bulk data feeds of open house listings from any brokerage firm or franchisor in the industry without charging any ongoing fees for this service.

OpenHouse.com has created a comprehensive listings distribution agreement for all non-Realogy brokers who are interested in posting their open house properties on OpenHouse.com. Any franchisors or brokers interested in establishing a bulk data feed to list their company’s open houses on OpenHouse.com should send an e-mail to Inquiries@OpenHouse.com in order to receive a copy of the online listings distribution agreement.
