RISMEDIA, April 23, 2008-On Saturday, April 12th, 2008, at the Third Annual La Roche College Founders Gala, the Howard Hanna Family was recognized as the recipient of the school’s 2008 Ad Lucem Award.
The award was presented to the Hannas by La Roche College president, Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., on behalf of La Roche College and its board of trustees in honor of their vision, leadership and determination which has transformed their dreams into reality.
Known as founders or inventors, recipients of this award epitomize the meaning of the Latin words Ad Lucem or to light. “The Hanna Family’s dedication and consistent effort has illuminated a new path and made a positive and lasting contribution to society, the community and the professions,” said Sister Candace. “Recipients must exemplify the mission of La Roche College to educate future leaders and to promote peace and justice in a constantly changing - and challenging - global society, she added. “It is our pleasure to recognize the Hannas, all of whom are richly deserving of this honor.”
