The Fall Meeting, which is ULI’s major annual event, offers “the best of the best” in terms of knowledgeable panelists and content-rich real estate sessions, which include industry experts from around the globe speaking candidly on pressing issues and trends affecting all aspects of land use planning, design and development.
This year, with the uncertain economy as the backdrop, the insights from economists, analysts, demographers, political observers and industry practitioners are certain to prove more insightful and more meaningful than ever. If you have to pick one meeting to attend this year that will be the most productive in terms of real estate ideas, leads, interviews, tips and news stories, the ULI meeting is your best bet.
Headlining the event are former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, who will offer economic insights at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28; and former President of Mexico Vicente Fox, set to speak at 4:30 p.m. also on October 28. Global market insights and political commentary will be offered by keynoters CNN Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour and former assistant to Bill Clinton and current television news commentator James Rubin on Thursday, October 30.
Not to be missed: An in-depth look at the good, bad and ugly for capital markets, 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29; a preview of possible shifts in federal housing policy, featuring former secretaries of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, 11 a.m. October 29; and a look ahead at top U.S. markets and property types for development and investment, based on the widely-acclaimed Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2009 report, 4:30 p.m., October 29.
