RISMEDIA, Jan. 25, 2007-New York's Flatrate Moving has been announced as one of the winners of the prestigious new 2007 Forbes Enterprise Award. Sponsored by Verizon, the Forbes Enterprise Awards recognize the accomplishments of outstanding businesses that demonstrate truly visionary practices, standards and achievements. Flatrate Moving was the only moving company to be honored in this year's awards-or even to be chosen as a finalist.

The Forbes Enterprise Awards were decided by a distinguished judging panel chaired by Judith H. Dobrzynski, a reporter and senior editor at The New York Times and Business Week, a Managing Editor at CNBC, and adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Judging was based on such criteria as product or service innovation, customer relations, community involvement, employee development and support, and marketing or other efforts leading to a business's growth. Nominees in the Forbes Enterprise awards were judged against others in the same field and within the same geographic region, and all companies were considered based on activities and notable achievements taking place from January 1, 2004 through awards submission in December 2006.

Flatrate was chosen as a winner not only for its original "flat-rate" moving concept, but also for its branding excellence, and on its foundation on service as the key to its success. With an experienced and knowledgeable customer service center, Flatrate welcomes questions from those facing the prospect of a move, as well as feedback about its performance afterward (positive or negative).
