RISMEDIA, Feb. 8, 2007-Prudential Georgia Realty has announced that Senior Vice President of Corporate Services, Kathy Connelly, SCRP, will also serve as 2007 president of the Relocation Directors Council (RDC).
Actively involved in the relocation industry for the last 20 years, 13 of which have been with Prudential Georgia Realty, Kathy has a long and successful history in the field.
Her past honors include being named National Relocation Director of the Year and receiving the Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Awards by the Employee Relocation Council.
The membership roster of RDC includes some of the best and brightest professionals in the relocation industry. Membership is extremely restricted and based on one's experience level, management level and tenure. In all, only 275 people have met RDC's qualifications, making it a brain trust of the top people in the relocation industry.
Kathy Connelly has long been a member of the organization, which meets twice a year at the same locations as the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council meetings. Over the years, she has gained knowledge and inspiration from the educational programs and networking with the other members at RDC events.
"The job of Relocation Director is an ever-changing position. We have to be chameleons and reinvent ourselves and our departments as we adapt to the changes and demands of the industry. Throughout the years, RDC has been a constant, providing a support system that's enabled us to survive and thrive," said Kathy Connelly. "And the fact that I'm entrusted with leading this organization in 2007 is such an honor and one I take very seriously."
Under Kathy Connelly's leadership and direction, the Prudential Georgia Realty Relocation Division has earned numerous honors for outstanding service. Last year, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates (PREA) awarded Connelly's division the Destination Services Award for the Southeast Region. It was the second straight year for this honor. In addition, the division was given the Destination Services Award for all of North America, winning the award out of more than 2,000 PREA offices throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In 2004, the Prudential Georgia Realty Relocation Division took home the Spirit of Partnership Award for the Southeast Region, which recognizes leading offices in the PREA network who provide outstanding service to Prudential Relocation and consistently demonstrate its core values of client focus, worthy of trust, winning, and respect for each other.
The Relocation Division offers a menu of services to its clients which extend far beyond showing area properties. They offer destination assistance (home finding, rental assistance, temporary housing), home marketing assistance, inventory management, guided tours of local cultural, recreational and sports venues, overviews of the local real estate market, and international services.
