RISMEDIA, Feb. 9, 2007-NRT Incorporated, one of the nation's largest residential real estate brokerage companies, announced that Kate Rossi has been named president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Connecticut and Westchester, New York. In her new role, she will oversee more than 240 employees and 2,400 sales associates in 55 offices. Rossi has served as president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage on Long Island/Queens since 2004, and held the same post for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Denver for the four previous years. Rossi replaces Peggy Doepper, who has left the company.

Rossi will report to Maureen Passerini, NRT regional senior vice president, who will oversee Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage on Long Island/Queens while a search is underway to replace Rossi in her former role.
Prior to her leadership roles in the Long Island and Denver markets, Rossi served as regional vice president of NRT's operation in Pittsburgh under the banner of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Inc. She is an industry veteran who began her real estate career in 1982 and was a leading sales associate for the next four consecutive years. Rossi was named Coldwell Banker Realtor of the Year in 1985, and after becoming manager, steered her office to become the leader in the Pittsburgh area for 12 consecutive years.
Rossi was on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Realtors® from 1994 through 2000. In 2005, she was named one of the Top 50 Women in Business by the Long Island Business News. Additionally, she has served in an elected role for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and as a major sponsor for the Race for the Cure. Rossi, a graduate of Virginia Intermont College, is also an accomplished classical pianist.
