RISMEDIA, May 1, 2007-Realty Executives City in Chicago is taking part in a national project called Fourth Grade Foresters, a program designed to help promote Arbor Day by teaching children nationwide the importance of planting trees, the company announced. Six sales associates from the brokerage have volunteered to sponsor local schools in the Chicagoland area.
Realty Executives City sponsors include broker/owner Joe Quartana who is sponsoring Cameron School and Cather School, Sabine Morrow and Heather Carney who are sponsoring Palmer and Belding Schools, Ashley Carter sponsoring Agassiz School, and Nancy Donley sponsoring Sauganash and Edgebrook schools. Because of the generosity of these and other sponsors, each 4th grade student will get to take home, and plant, his/her very own tree.
The Fourth Grade Foresters project was started by FreeTreesandPlants.com, a non-profit organization that takes unsold plants (that would otherwise be destroyed) and gives them away for free. This national project has four main goals which are to revitalize observation of Arbor Day in America's Schools, send every fourth grader home with a tree of their own to plant, support employment of workers with disabilities, and to bring schools and businesses together for a positive impact.
"I am so pleased that several of our sales associates are choosing to participate in this wonderful and much needed project," said Joe Quartana, broker/owner of Realty Executives City.
Each participating Realty Executives sales associate has the opportunity to deliver the donated trees today on Arbor Day to the students at each school.
